Roadskin™ 'Spencer' CE AAA Rated Motorcycle Jeans
Named after the legendary three-time World Champion “Fast Freddie” Spencer, these premium single-layer motorcycle jeans represent the height of protective riding gear. The Roadskin™ Spencer Jeans are a natural progression from our previous best-selling motorcycle jeans, the Easyrider. The Easyrider jeans were CE AA-rated, and since we aim to provide the best possible protection for fellow riders, we designed the Spencer jeans to achieve a CE AAA rating.
We also aimed to enhance the well-known comfort of the Easyrider jean by adding Rheon™ Level 2 armour, which comes as standard with your purchase and is the first in our range to do so.
Advanced Protection Without the Bulk
The Spencer motorcycle jeans redefine riding jeans with their innovative single-layer construction, with internal hip & knee armour pockets, offering a lighter, more comfortable fit ideal for year-round use. Unlike traditional lined jeans that often feel bulky and overheated, our Spencer jean provides natural breathability while delivering complete AAA protection across the entire garment—not just in select areas.
Engineered for Real Riders
Every detail has been considered for the modern motorcyclist. The built-in stretch fabric (featuring 48% Cotton, 26.8% Kevlar, and performance elastane blend) allows the jeans to slip comfortably over most riding boots, whilst triple-stitched main seams ensure durability mile after mile. Three adjustable armour pockets provide a perfect fit for knee protection, and double belt loops allow for layering with our Maximite armoured hoodies or other suitable garments.
Style That Works On and Off the Bike
Turn up the hem cuffs for that effortless vintage look - without revealing unsightly mesh lining. The Spencers' design and finish mean you can confidently wear them from the garage to the gastropub, paired perfectly with our Munro armoured shirts or casual tees if you so wish.
Available in three leg lengths (30", 32", 34") and waist sizes 30"-42", complete with YKK zip fastening and backed by our commitment to personal service.
The included RHEON™ Motorcycle Armour
RHEON™ armour brings game-changing protection and comfort to motorcycle riders. At just 90-130 grams per type of protector, its lightweight, 3D-printed design adapts naturally to your body for a barely-there feel. Made from a non-Newtonian material, it remains soft and flexible during normal wear, then instantly hardens on impact to protect you when it matters most. The patented cell structure maximises strength without bulk while providing outstanding ventilation, keeping you cooler on long or hot rides. With advanced impact protection, breathability, and a slim profile, RHEON™ hip armour delivers comfort, freedom, and serious safety, making it an essential upgrade for every rider.

Taranis Motorcycle Jeans Sizing Guide
At Roadskinshop®, we believe in keeping it real. When we say a pair of our jeans has a 36-inch waist, it measures 36 inches around the waist, no sneaky surprises. If the inseam says 30 inches, you can bet it’s 30 inches long. Actual numbers. Actual measurements.
Finding Your Size - The Right Way to Do It
The best way to determine your correct Roadskinshop® Motorcycle Jean size is to grab and measure a pair of jeans you love. Yes, it takes a moment, but it’ll save you a lot of hassle later.

FAQs
What are CE ratings and why are they important?
Since 21st April 2018 all motorcycle clothing has to be certified as PPE or Personal Protective Equipment by law. Below is a brief summary of testing and classification for your information.
Clothing is classified to different levels AAA being the most protective down to C being the least. Loosely speaking you can say that they are most suited to the type of riding below but always go for the highest if possible.
- Class AAA Motorways and Higher speeds
- AA Touring
- A City or Urban use 30mph and below.
- B No armour so not advised
- C Waste of time
This testing is done by certified bodies both here and abroad under the standard EN 17092-2.
Roadskin Products
All of our protective motorcycle gear is tested in the UK by SATRA or INTERTEK Italia S,p.a and you can find our declarations of conformity here.
Caring for your motorcycle jeans
Keeping your motorcycle jeans in peak condition is important not just for how they look but for your safety – you might say, there’s a lot riding on it!
Once you’ve settled on a favourite pair, and worn them in, and they’ve become a faithful friend in pretty much every and any riding situation, you’ll want them to last forever.
We have all heard about the denim aficionados are reluctant to wash their jeans, but motorcycle jeans are different. Not washing them means that they will inevitably degrade over time, thanks for grime, grease and sweat.
We have produced a guide on keeping them clean and in tip top condition - view the full guide.
Motorcycle Jeans Sizing Advice
Numbers That Mislead
Have you ever wondered why you’re a size 38 in one brand, a 36 in another, and then somehow a 39 elsewhere? It’s frustrating, right? Those numbers are supposed to represent accurate measurements but often don’t add up.
Committed to Perfect Sizing
At Roadskinshop®, we believe in keeping it real. When we say a pair of our jeans has a 36-inch waist, it measures 36 inches around the waist, no sneaky surprises. If the inseam says 30 inches, you can bet it’s 30 inches long. Actual numbers. Actual measurements.
Production Variability
That said, denim can be a tricky beast. Different washes and how our protection layers interact during production can slightly affect sizing. We do everything possible to keep those variances small, but no one's perfect! Even with our commitment to accuracy, mistakes happen. We're only human. Mislabelling or production hiccups can sneak in occasionally. Thankfully it's rare, but if that happens, shout. We’ll do whatever it takes to ensure you have the correct size and fit.
Finding Your Size - The Right Way to Do It
The best way to determine your correct Roadskinshop® Motorcycle Jean size is to grab and measure a pair of jeans you love. Yes, it takes a moment, but it’ll save you a lot of hassle later.
Waist Measurements
Lay your jeans flat and pull the waistband out tight (but not stretched beyond its natural limit if there’s any give). Measure from one side of the inside waistband to the other, then double that number. Boom, that’s your waist size. If you find you are between sizes on the waist (i.e 35",37" etc), our advice would be to go DOWN a size. Our jeans have 5% Lycra® in them, so have a nice amount of stretch to accommodate that extra inch!
Inseam Measurements
Lay one leg flat and straight. Measure from the cuff edge up the inseam to where it meets the crotch seam. Remember to follow the seam curve to get the most accurate measurement.
Take the time to measure once, and ride in comfort forever. Got questions? Reach out, we’re here to help.
